Meditation & Joyful Moves Through Holiday Blues

with Angela Braxton-Johnson

Come home to yourself in this soulful, nourishing, trauma-informed space and find relief from the hectic and sometimes not-so-happy holidays.

Experience poetry, rest, nourishment, support and joyful movement as we connect, breathe and hold sacred space for one another in this four week series, held on Wednesday nights in December 2018 (12/5, 12/12, 12/19 & 12/26), 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Woodlawn MIC.

Angela has lived in Portland, Oregon nearly fifty years. She graduated from Jefferson High School of Performing Arts and studied Music Therapy at Howard University in Washington, DC. Angela is a writer, musician, entrepreneur and wellness coach who specializes in helping women in bigger bodies heal from disordered eating and weight stigma through compassionate self-care. She is a woman of faith and recent SOLA graduate. Practicing yoga has taken Angela’s spiritual walk to a deeper level and has aided immensely with her overall wellness. SOLA School is where Angela first experienced accessible yoga and learned that yoga really is for every  body. Her practice incorporates music, poetry and joyful movement.
